About the role:
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and working under the supervision and delegation of the AHP team, some of your duties for the role will include:
- Supporting AHP’s with facilitation of the Therapeutic Activity Program
- Supporting AHP’s with administrative tasks which enhance the AHP program
- Safely delivering patient care as per AHP delegations, instructions and defined scope of practice
- Providing feedback and outcomes of tasks to delegating (or supervising) AHP’s
- Assisting in the maintenance of clinical and patient equipment and associated records
- Accurately maintaining therapy related databases and patient documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP
- Providing escort and support for patient attendance at therapy interventions
- Actively participating in own development, including education, training and supervision
About you:
- Have a collaborative approach and the ability to work well with a multi-disciplinary team
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills – able to demonstrate the ability to work with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and / or handling of patient related equipment and devices
- Experience working in a health-care setting
- Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing
