The Role

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals according to dietary guidelines and preferences.
  • Ensure meal quality, nutritional standards, and portion control.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations.
  • Cater to special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, texture-modified diets).
  • Work with the care team to support residents' needs and preferences.
  • Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

The Person

  • Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
  • Experience with cooking in bulk quantities
  • Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety
  • Has good time management skills 
  • Experience within a similar environment beneficial.
  • Must be triple vaccinated against Covid.
