THE POSITION
- Significant and proactive participation in design processes particularly across the first 2-3 years of the development phase.
- Actively engage in design processes to ensure Compass interests are well-represented, focusing on operational efficacy and compliance with Safety in Design requirements.
- Safeguard Compass's commercial interests by managing modifications, monitoring scope creep, and ensuring no commercial imposts arise from design changes.
- Oversee the development and management of the project Gantt chart, risk register, and issues register. Address potential delays and ensure timely delivery of program outcomes.
- Produce and manage monthly reports for consortium and internal Compass stakeholders.
- Oversee the development of service models with a focus on patient-centred care and a one team approach.
- Manage the creation and updates of Services Plans, work schedules, and operational phase documentation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy.
- Contribute to change management planning and workforce development, including meeting diversity stretch targets.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, including Project Co, Western Health, State representatives, and Compass Project staff.
THE PERSON
- Project Management qualifications and/or substantial experience.
- Expertise in governance and planning, with high organisational and time management skills.
- Proven track record in managing complex environments with multiple, sometimes competing, agendas.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse disciplines.
- Strong communication skills with the capability to present credibly.
- Understanding and management of project risks.
- Detailed knowledge of hospital operations, especially Soft FM services’ role in supporting clinical services and patient-centred care.
- Experience in hospital design, ensuring suitability for Soft FM services.
