The Systems Analyst supports Finance end users in their daily functions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of PeopleSoft data and activities. Key responsibilities include notifying Major Area Budget Managers of budget errors across various PeopleSoft modules, managing the recharge process, processing Labor Cost Distribution, creating storefronts, and analyzing technical issues to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Additionally, this role administers and manages Finance subsystems, including OpenInvoice, Transact Payments, ECSI, and Kronos.

Duties

  • Inform Major Area Budget Managers of budget errors in various PeopleSoft modules and help resolve them. 
  • Support Finance end-users in their daily functions, including desktop and application support and troubleshooting. 
  • Manage the recharge process, processing monthly internal recharges, training end-users, and implementing new functionalities.
  • Enter Labor Distribution Changes and process the Labor Cost Distribution to General Ledger. 
  • Support Finances subsystems, including OpenInvoice, Transact Payments, ECSI, and Kronos. 
  • Develop and troubleshoot queries within PeopleSoft to provide Finance users with the most accurate data available. 
  • Acquire and implement new technology and equipment to finance users. 
  • Work with IT and end-user to develop and implement new functionality with PeopleSoft, resulting in improved efficiency and effectiveness throughout finance. 
  • Research new technologies and systems to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance Department. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Experience in an analyst role; experience analyzing technical issues and working with both IT and end-users. The ability to collaborate within a team; strong attention to detail. The ability to take initiative and be self-motivated. Proficient with Microsoft and Google Suite.

Preferred: College degree; knowledge of PeopleSoft and other financial systems. Proficient with PeopleSoft, OpenInvoice, Etrieve, and Transact Payments.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position that may be eligible for remote or hybrid work in accordance with the University Policy Manual.

Expected Pay Range: $30.60 - $34.00 per hour

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
