Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor of Psychology, beginning August 1, 2025.
The Psychology Division offers five graduate programs: an APA-accredited Psy.D. program, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in working with Latinx communities, an M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis, and an M.A. in Psychology. Our students reflect the diverse mosaic of Southern California, with over forty percent of our student body coming from ethnically diverse populations. The faculty position will involve primary assignment to a Pepperdine graduate campus in West Los Angeles, Irvine, Calabasas, or Malibu, CA. Skills and Qualifications
The faculty position will contribute to the education and training of our masters and doctoral students in Psychology. Applicants should possess an earned doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Family Therapy, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution, clinical experience, teaching experience at the university level, commitment to supervising clinical dissertations, and evidence of current scholarship. Applicants with areas of scholarly and professional activity that include children and youth, marriage and family therapy, evidence-based treatment, and substance abuse are of particular interest for this position. The applicant should also be licensed or license eligible as a Psychologist, MFT, or PCC. Tenure track faculty are also expected to develop a productive research program.
We seek applicants with demonstrated multicultural awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment relevant to preparing mental health professionals to work effectively with culturally diverse populations. Applicants should have experience working with and teaching about multiple dimensions of diversity, intersectionality, and social justice issues as consistent with professional guidelines for practice with diverse populations from APA, AAMFT, and CACREP.

This is a Full-Time, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.
Expected Pay Range: $88,064 - $93,536 per year
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
