    • 20th and 21st Century Global Anglophone Visiting Search in Gambier, OH

      Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of English in twentieth- and twenty-first global Anglophone literature, beginning July 2026. The candidate may focus on one or more specific regions (e.g. the Caribbean, Africa, South Asia) or on transnational networks or orientations (e.g. the Global South, Global Indigenous, the transatlantic, or the transpacific). We particularly encourage applications from candidates who are also practicing creative nonfiction or fiction writers. The teaching requirement will be 3:2 or 2:3 and will include courses at all levels of our curriculum. Visiting faculty also contribute to departmental life. Evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level is required. Ph.D. preferred, but applicants who are ABD will be considered. A completed application must include 1) a cover letter detailing research interests, teaching experience, and teaching philosophy with information on experience with and plans for teaching diverse students; 2) a Curriculum Vitae; 3) an unofficial graduate transcript; and 4) a writing sample of up to 30 pages. Applicants should also submit the names and email addresses of three references.       The Political Science Department at Kenyon College invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position in American politics, effective July 1, 2026. Qualified applicants will have a strong teaching and research background in American politics and the ability to teach our introductory American course, “Liberal Democracy in America,” and to offer upper-level American politics courses and seminars. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in constitutional law, judicial politics, American political development, and American political thought.       Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities. The Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities supports the mission of the College by coordinating and administering all facets of the student conduct review system as outlined in the Student Handbook. The position works collaboratively with the Offices of Campus Safety, and Residential Life as well as faculty and staff across campus to facilitate appropriate educational responses to student behavior. The Director oversees the Student Conduct Review Board, as detailed in the Student Handbook.
