Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified applicant to fill the position of Associate Director of Institutional Research. Kenyon's Office of Institutional Research seeks an Associate Director of Institutional Research who will use a broad knowledge of assessment, computing, strategic planning, student management, and statistical and education research methods to support campus decision makers with concise, relevant, clear and accurate data. The Associate Director may prepare quantitative and qualitative analyses and writing reports; be responsible for survey design, administration, analysis, and reporting; developing and conducting research studies in response to institutional needs; serving on and supporting committees on a variety of topics; promoting appropriate use of institutional and survey data to serve the broad needs of academic and non-academic units; assisting other College offices in institutional level planning and measurement; collaborating broadly across the institution to assist campus constituencies with application of data and research to address institutional concerns and questions; guiding the professional development of student interns; assist in supervising or supervising student interns; and working collaboratively on projects with colleagues within and outside the Institutional Research office including IR student interns. We value both education and experience. The candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in social science, educational assessment, or a related field or equivalent professional experience. A master’s degree in these fields, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Assistant Professor of Asian Art History in Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Asian Art History. Candidates must have expertise in the art, architecture, and visual culture of any geographic region in pre-1900 Asia and possess a demonstrated ability and desire to teach courses in many areas of Asian art. We seek a creative colleague who can immediately contribute to our curriculum. Applicants must be interested in offering a fresh, global perspective on permanent courses, including the Introduction to Asian Art, and developing intermediate and advanced-level courses on the art, architecture, and visual culture of East Asia, South Asia, or Southeast Asia. We are interested in teacher-scholars who can offer creative ways to engage with the Department’s Visual Resources Center, our Study Collection (https://digital.kenyon.edu/arthistorystudycollection/), and regional art museums. Applicants should complement, not duplicate, current expertise of the department. The candidate will also have an opportunity to work with advanced art history majors on Honors projects and advise students pursuing the Asian and Middle East Studies interdisciplinary major. Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Painter/Interior Finish Technician. The qualified candidate will use generally accepted techniques and procedures of the painter trade in the preparation, maintenance, and repair of finishes of equipment, signage, and all exterior surfaces and interior walls, ceilings, and floors of campus structures and facilities, including parking areas and roadways. The hourly rate of pay for this full-time with benefits position is $30.19/hour. This position is on a Progressive Wage Rate with an increase each year until it caps out at the beginning of the third full year of employment at $36.82. Work days are Sunday – Thursday. 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch.
