About the role
We have a 6-month secondment opportunity within the People Team to support the Group Fleet Manager in the Fleet Services function. This role has become available due to the internal development of a current team member and offers a fantastic chance for someone with strong administration skills, solid business understanding, and a curiosity to learn more about a critical operational area. You'll be part of a fast-paced, detail-driven team, gaining hands-on experience in supporting the effective management of our company fleet.
This secondment is well suited to someone who can work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail under pressure. You'll be exposed to a wide range of tasks that are central to keeping our fleet operations running smoothly. Key responsibilities

Maintain accurate vehicle databases, updating driver details, allocations, and contracts.

Issue timely MOT reminders for company vehicles.

Process penalty charges and damage claims promptly, escalating when needed.

Proactively manage vehicle recalls and downtime support for drivers.

Collect mileage updates and monitor service schedules accordingly.

Handle vehicle order admin and communicate delivery updates to drivers.

Arrange vehicle movements, collections, checks and hire vehicles as required.

Conduct damage checks on fleet vehicles during handover.

Manage license checks and keep records updated within our systems.

Collaborate with HR Shared Services on starters, leavers, and role changes affecting fleet.

Process and track fleet-related invoices efficiently.
About you

Transferable experience from an administrative role (Fleet experience is not essential).

Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.

Hands on, can-do, flexible attitude.

Highly organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

A growth / development mindset with an interest in learning new skills within this team / business area.

A full UK driving licence.
