FWS - Interlibrary Loan Student Assistant in Fullerton
Under the direction of the Interlibrary Loan coordinator, Student assistants share responsibilities and duties with fellow student assistants. Working together or independently to complete work associated with interlibrary loan lending and borrowing. This person will interact with more of the core functions of the library: Reference, Circulation, Technical Services, University Archives & Special Collections and Library Administration. Interlibrary Loan student assistants perform numerous procedures associated with interlibrary lending and borrowing and in-library services for faculty, staff, and students. They will develop expertise in complex software applications in their daily work. Student assistants build their knowledge of tools and techniques used in searching databases, achieving their scholarly needs through troubleshooting and finding resolutions to work-related tasks. Procedures include, but are not limited to: • Searching and pulling items from stacks • Updating and checking out items • Preparing loans for shipment • Processing of incoming receives • Processing of returns • Scanning and sending of requests from paper and microform media • Processing incoming and outgoing courier shipments • Processing incoming and outgoing UPS and US mail

The Annual Giving team prepares for Titans Give, which is Cal State Fullerton’s annual 24-hour online fundraiser! While Titans Give happens just once a year, the planning, promotion, and strategy-building happen year-round. The Digital Giving Student Assistant will work alongside the Director of Annual Giving to help build momentum, create engaging content, and track our progress leading up to the big day. We are looking for someone who wants a hands-on experience with digital marketing, social media, and campus engagement.
