Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of the Ed Doctorate program, the student assistant’s responsibilities will include:

    • Perform day-to-day office tasks ranging from answering calls and greeting guests
    • Work with and assist in various projects for the Ed Doctorate specializations.
    • Assist in various reports:
      • Quantitative and qualitative data collection
      • Reporting writing such as development of literature reviews
      • Processing necessary data and paperwork related to educational research and evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • • Must have interest in educational research from k-12 to college
    • Must be a competent writer
    • Must be able to uphold the utmost confidentiality with regard to evaluation projects
    • Excellent listening and follow-through skills
    • Must have strong computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, students and representatives from outside organizations
    • Must be willing and capable of learning computer programs specific to data analysis
