Job Summary |
Under the direction of the Interlibrary Loan coordinator, Student assistants share responsibilities and duties with fellow student assistants. Working together or independently to complete work associated with interlibrary loan lending and borrowing. This person will interact with more of the core functions of the library: Reference, Circulation, Technical Services, University Archives & Special Collections and Library Administration. Interlibrary Loan student assistants perform numerous procedures associated with interlibrary lending and borrowing and in-library services for faculty, staff, and students. They will develop expertise in complex software applications in their daily work. Student assistants build their knowledge of tools and techniques used in searching databases, achieving their scholarly needs through troubleshooting and finding resolutions to work-related tasks. Procedures include, but are not limited to: • Searching and pulling items from stacks
