POSITION |
The Department of Child and Adolescent Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its CAS Research Assistant Instructional Student Assistant Pool. We welcome applications from current CSUF undergraduate students to work as Undergraduate Research Assistants with various faculty members in the CAS department. Under direct supervision, CAS Research Assistants perform duties ranging from unskilled to skilled and/or specialized, in a variety of positions that typically require the use of manual, clerical, public contact, and/or analytical skill. Assignments have limited use of discretion and judgment. Work is regularly reviewed and may entail detailed instructions. RAs will work with Principal Investigator (PI - faculty member) on their research. This may include completing literature research, creating summaries of articles, data entry, and organizing drafts for submission of completed work with the PI. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE. |

COMPENSATION |
All Instructional Student Assistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Classification Range: $17.86 - $23.84 per hour |

The person holding this position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse And Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083, revised July 21, 2017, as a condition of employment. |
