Where does the role fit in?
Castle House Project has a small, close-knit team where no 2 days are the same. We offer supported housing to those experiencing homelessness within the community. Our motivation is to ensure we equip the individuals that we support with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently.
What is great about this role?
The role will be varied and involve managing a team of Project Workers and Scheme Support Officers to deliver a quality housing support service to vulnerable people in supported accommodation. You will be involved in building a reputation for excellence through partnership working, service improvement and developing and motivating your team.
You will inspire, challenge and manage your team to improve performance and outcomes for people who use our services. You will also be responsible for staff’s wellbeing, coaching, mentoring and supervision as well as enable the people who access our services to lead successful and independent lives.
You will:
- Oversee the running of both services including health and safety, on-going maintenance and neighbour relationships.
- Be responsible for the management of all staff including regular supervisions, training and development, HR procedures and recruitment and induction
- Be responsible for the annual budget and monitoring the service’s income
- Ensure that advice is given on welfare rights, permanent housing options and other associated information according to the needs and wishes of the clients.
- Ensure that clients receive resettlement advice as and when appropriate to address their move-on needs.
- Monitor the service and produce and amend procedures as appropriate
- Build relationships and liaise with local neighbourhoods, landlord, businesses, commissioners, and council
Who are we looking for?
You will have had previous experience in a support environment and have a good understanding of leadership and management.
In addition you will be able to demonstrate the ability to;
- Supervise, motivate and develop staff
- Produce concise, accurate written reports
- Liaise and negotiate effectively to resolve problems
- Produce concise, accurate written reports
- Have an understanding of the Renting Homes Act
What are the pay and benefits?
- Full-time, Permanent position
- Base: Treforest, Pontypridd
- Competitive salary of £31,899.00
- Predominantly Mon-Fri although flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service
- An enhanced DBS is required for this role which we will pay for
- 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
