Work Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm

Special Instructions to Applicant: You must be able to climb and refill small, general aviation aircraft.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for performing aircraft refueling operations independently while ensuring fueling activities are performed in accordance with established safety procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Performs aircraft fueling operations independently following established safety procedures
⦁ Conducts inspections and identifies operational issues
⦁ Maintains fueling equipment and ensures operational readiness
⦁ Tracks fuel inventory and maintains accurate records
⦁ Responds to fuel spills and emergencies and takes corrective action
⦁ Coordinates with internal personnel during fueling operations
⦁ Provides guidance to student workers performing routine fueling and support tasks

Service Excellence
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
⦁ Works under the supervision of the assigned campus leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:

⦁ High School diploma or GED
⦁ One (1) year’s working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
⦁ Valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ Completion of some college coursework

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to fueling operations
⦁ Knowledge of fuel handling and storage systems
⦁ Skilled in performing fueling operations and inspections
⦁ Skilled in identifying operational issues and responding appropriately
⦁ Skilled in maintaining accurate records
⦁ Ability to work independently following established procedures
⦁ Ability to identify hazards and respond appropriately
⦁ Ability to manage multiple operational tasks
⦁ Ability to provide guidance to others during routine activities

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representatives of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is also exposed to fuel vapors and other conditions associated with aircraft operations. The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to proximity to operating aircraft and equipment.
