      Research Administration and Engagement is searching for one position as either a Grant Accountant or a Senior Grant Accountant, based on the qualifications of the selected candidate. GRANT ACCOUNTANT: The accountant is responsible for establishing, maintaining and closing contracts and grants in the University accounting system, including grant matching funds required by 2 CFR 200 and assisting with the testing and implementation of the Banner Financial System updates as required. SENIOR GRANT ACCOUNTANT: Manages post-award accounting activities of grants and contracts within one or more academic and research units (i.e., school, department, division, institute, or center) and provides data analytics of grant activities in accordance with federal, state, and pertinent UWF policies. These activities include review, reconciliation, projection, and revision of award finances, preparation of performance and financial reports in collaboration with principal investigators, and completion of award closeouts. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and an understanding of customer service, work quality, continuous improvement, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is expected to effectively collaborate with diverse constituencies, including students, faculty members, university administrators, and staff members of the UWF community. Assurance of compliance with federal, state, and university standards, as well as the ability to use electronic tools and computer software in managing the progress of grant execution and controlling grant finance, are essential.

      IEP Adjunct Instructor Pool - International Affairs in Pensacola - Main Campus

      The Office of International Affairs is seeking qualified IEP Instructors (Adjunct) to teach English as a second language in Reading, Grammar, Listening & Speaking, and Writing to non-English speakers enrolled in the Intensive English Program. This position requires a bi-weekly timesheet submission of hours worked. Intensive English Program classes are Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 12:30pm. Applications are also accepted for qualified applicants to serve from time to time as substitute instructors. The Office of International Affairs is building a pool of IEP Instructors (Adjunct) for teaching opportunities for upcoming semesters. Application will be accepted on an on-going basis.       The senior-level position supports the university's research administration through fostering industrial partnerships, facilitating the development of IP and their commercialization, and promoting innovative initiatives at University of West Florida (UWF). The responsibilities include managing Sustainable Economic Development Initiative (SEDI), working closely with the program’s Agreement Managers/Principal Investigators, ensuring compliance of program execution, and developing collaborative projects funded by industries and private sectors. Employing strong leadership, strategic, and interpersonal skills, the director will work with UWF’s Associate Vice President of Research (AVP-Research) to oversee the programs funded by the Industrial Resilience and Diversification Fund (IRDF), develop new programs in collaboration with regional industries, military service providers, and economic development organizations. Additionally, this role will serve as a liaison among Research Administration & Engagement (RAE), other UWF’s departments and external entities in contract negotiations for projects supported or funded by industries and private sponsors. Additionally, the Director implements policies related to intellectual property (IP) and technology commercialization and transfer, including facilitating SBIR/STTR grant activities and patent and copyright applications. The position will also serve as a liaison between RAE and the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) in reviewing industrial collaborative agreements and contracts.
