The Assistant Director, Full-Time MBA Career Services is responsible for providing for the FTMBA project management, coaching and counseling, career planning, individual assessment, and job search support.

This position supports the mission of the school in developing values centered leaders for contemporary practice through education that is entrepreneurial in spirit, ethical in focus, and global in orientation. Through counseling and leadership, resources are provided that help students and alumni discover and build careers of purpose, service and leadership.


  • Develop annual strategies, plans and tactics for students in Full Time MBA Program through teaching, coaching and networking support services. Independently provide coaching for skill development to students in full time business programs at PGBS, working directly with students to guide them in their preparation for immediate job search activities and long term career development. Enhance student knowledge and skills in career self-assessment, career planning, job searching, networking, interviewing, and other career development techniques.
  • Collaborate and co-lead the Full Time MBA "Core Team," a team designated to the success and development of the full time MBA skills and hiring outcomes. The Core Team includes 2 direct reports consisting of a Senior Employer Specialist and Coach, and supported by the Director of Full-Time Programs Career Services and the Director of Career Readiness.
  • Drive toward improving the reputation and school rankings for PGBS by developing and implementing a variety of support services, data collection/management systems, feedback processes, and accountability methods to effectively analyze and report job search metrics/results.
  • Conduct corporate outreach initiatives to generate and maintain professional relationships and expand the pipeline of career opportunities for PGBS students and alumni.
  • Research, build, maintain and provide staff and student access to a variety of career development tools, assessments, reference materials, readings, and other resources to support contemporary, relevant job search and career development skills and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Undergraduate degree in related field; three to five years of formal counseling, training and development, corporate recruiting, career development, or other related experience in supervision/management in a business and/or university setting. Superior skill, self-awareness, empathy, coaching, and working with individuals and groups in an education or business setting; program development; knowledge in general coaching and/or career counseling theories and techniques. Proficiency in general office/desktop systems, Google, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.); ability to plan/manage/facilitate classroom use of presentation tools, software, projection equipment, etc.

Preferred: MBA or Master’s degree in a related field (i.e., Psychology, Counseling, Finance/Business, etc.). Previous work in career services, corporate relations, human resource management, or related field is strongly preferred. Prior course work or experience working with various individual assessment or leadership assessment instruments, career development methods, and leadership experience is highly desirable.

This is a Regular, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
