The position primarily supports Pepperdine's Department of Facility Services with repair materials for the Malibu campus while also facilitating and handling property, furniture, and equipment. The position will manage and distribute inventory and maintenance materials from the Malibu warehouse as well as handling and transporting items to and from storage. This position will process items through a computerized inventory system and will use material handling equipment in the performance of duties and other related duties as assigned.
- Handle and process warehouse materials and inventory. Receive and account for stock, issue stock to end users, and perform miscellaneous inventory activities.
- Operate Warehouse forklift, Pepperdine University vehicle, and material handling equipment in the performance of warehouse duties.
- Process telephone inquiries and assist customers via in-person, phone, or email.
- Manage inventory at the Malibu warehouse and storage vaults.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with team members and serve the University and community with a positive attitude.
- Uphold the Living Pepperdine standards in day to day work; participate in Daily Line-Ups and be able to articulate how the standards tie to daily work.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: High School diploma or two years of professional schooling beneficial. Good driving record with current California class "C" driver's license. One to two years experience helpful in one or more of the following: warehouse stock processing, inventory management software, or customer service. Work collaboratively with team members or independently to serve the University and community with a positive attitude. Good verbal and written English skills with good customer service skills. Knowledge of safety standards in a materials handling environment is helpful. Full manual dexterity for the operation of University vehicles and material handling equipment. Demonstrable ability to lift 100 pounds and carry 25 feet, ability to operate trucks, vans, forklifts, pallet jacks, and computers. Microsoft Office programs; Excel and Word. Adobe Acrobat. General understanding of Google Mail and Calendar.
Preferred: TMA inventory management software and/or other inventory control software. Communication Proficiency, Organizational Skills, Technical Capacity, Time Management, and Record Keeping.

This is a Restricted, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.
Expected Pay Range: $18.00 - $18.53 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
