The Director of Accreditation and Program Compliance advances the mission of the Graziadio Business School by managing effective operations and activities related to accreditation and program assessment. The role ensures continued alignment with AACSB and WSCUC accreditation standards and oversees an effective program for learning assessment that drives continuous improvement across the curriculum.

Duties

  • Provide leadership for all accreditation activities required by AACSB and guide the school to compliance with AACSB standards, policies, and expectations. 
  • Prepare and facilitate AACSB reports, applications, surveys, and site visits. 
  • Oversee curriculum management activities including internal and external approvals ensuring that new programs and program changes are aligned with university policies and accreditation standards. 
  • Communicate to academic and administrative leadership the importance of maintaining alignment with accreditation standards and requirements. 
  • Support the office of the provost in completing WSCUC accreditation reports and proposals pertaining to the Graziadio School.
  • Manage the academic catalog versioning process to ensure that all degree requirements and academic policies are accurate and current. 
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate operations and activities related to assessment of learning outcomes across all degree programs at the Graziadio School. 
  • Develop reports and present findings to communicate assessment and related data to appropriate internal and external constituents. 
  • Contribute expertise to the design and implementation of direct and indirect assessment instruments. 
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff in the development of learning outcomes, rubrics, curriculum maps, assessment plans, and other assessment tools. 
  • Advise faculty and committees on assessment and accreditation best practices and requirements.
  • Engage with assessment, curricular management, and other systems to collect data and produce assessment reports. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Uphold the University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Bachelors degree; 5 years experience in higher education; experience with assessment and accreditation activities. Knowledge of academic administration and shared governance; knowledge of accreditation process and requirements; able to manage/resolve conflict effectively and work collaboratively with faculty/staff; organized, self-starter, able to take on projects and see them through to completion; strong communication skills, written and oral; analytical skills, attention to detail, and able to multitask; able to develop and manage effective working relationships. Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Excel, Word, Google applications, information systems/databases, assessment management system).

Preferred: Masters degree or higher; 5-8 years experience in higher education; experience with assessment in business programs and AACSB accreditation requirements; experience managing and leading teams. Knowledge of AACSB and WSCUC accreditation standards; advanced skills in business program assessment/review; curriculum management experience. Experience in SaaS implementation/administration; experience with statistical software applications.

This is a Regular, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $85,500- $95,000 per year

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
