The purpose of the Admissions Manager is to manage the recruitment and communications in the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Manager will manage admission yield campaigns and outreach, oversee the execution of the annual admission events, and to recruit, counsel, and with prospective law students. The Admissions Manager supports the University's mission directly by promoting it to prospective students while recruiting for the program, describing the opportunities within Pepperdine Caruso Law in which the students can hone their leadership skills and serve the community.

Duties

  • Manage the application process in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Admissions. Oversee the processing and data entry for applications and supporting documents.
  • Recruitment management; maintain calendar and materials; collaborate with the team to develop marketing campaigns. 
  • Develop the logistics and assist in the execution of the annual admissions events (Open House, Faculty Scholars, and Dinner with the Dean). 
  • Assist in developing the Admission Yield campaign communication and marketing materials. 
  • Recruit, counsel, and meet with prospective and admitted students. 
  • Evaluate admission files. 
  • Create and manage the Admission Call and Current Student Connect campaign. 
  • Host virtual information sessions as needed. 
  • Maintain the law applications and waitlist email accounts. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
  • Uphold the University's mission throughout the work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Two years of general office experience, preferably job-related; customer service experience. Must be free of conflicts of interest. Strong organizational skills; effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal, relationship, and promotional skills; superior knowledge of word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs; ability to establish priorities and manage change (multi-tasking); strong customer service skills.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred; Experience at an academic institution in a student-service area.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $24.23 - $26.92 per hour

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
