The Admission Engagement and Events Manager manages Seaver College's digital presence, including social media efforts and digital partnerships. Additionally, this role manages recruitment, yield, and engagement events for undergraduate Admission that, combined, will help define and promote the University's mission to a wide external audience. Therefore, this position directly supports the wider Enrollment Management efforts to attract diverse, mission-fit applicants while tracking and supporting student engagement. This role interfaces directly with families in a digital and in-person setting, helping to directly impact departmental and institutional enrollment goals.

Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for Seaver Admission in alignment with University Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) and the Strategic Enrollment Management Committee, while managing operations and strategy for key engagement vendors such as ZeeMee and Unibuddy.
  • Develop an expertise in social media marketing through researching and analyzing competitors, trends, best practices, and emerging platforms, ads.
  • Plan and execute all admission events (prospective, admitted, and yield).
  • Collaborate with Office of Admission leadership to strategize on- and off-campus events and virtual webinars aligned with institutional goals, while analyzing and disseminating CRM evaluation reports to measure and enhance event effectiveness.
  • Configure and maintain in-person and virtual webinar event setups in Slate CRM while collaborating cross-functionally to plan, execute, and optimize targeted pre- and post-event communication strategies.
  • Partner with the Executive Assistant and Manager of Administration on Enrollment Management department events and retreats.
  • Lead the Admission Events committees and weekly meetings.
  • Manage and cultivate partnerships within community and external vendors.
  • Travel to regional events occasionally.
  • Maintain a proactive and strong collaborative partnership with all essential departments (Campus Scheduling, Catering, Facilities, Parking Services, Media Services, Faculty, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold the university mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of office experience.
  • Experience planning and running events.
  • Previous experience working with social media and digital marketing.
  • Experience working with and interpreting data.

Preferred:

  • Admission CRM, Slate, software experience.
  • Proficiency with Adobe acrobat for graphic design.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $26.92 - $28.84 per hour 

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
