The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) and Shared Services Coordinator plays a dual role within Lehigh’s Office of International Affairs (OIA). This position provides direct support to the OISS office while also contributing to cross-functional service needs through the OIA Shared Services Operations Team. The role is structured with 80% effort dedicated to OISS advising, operations, and engagement, and 20% allocated to divisional shared services that support multiple OIA departments.

Under the primary supervision of the Director of OISS, the Coordinator serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), facilitates communications and logistics for international student support, and helps ensure compliance with federal regulations. In the shared services capacity, the Coordinator contributes to cross-unit administrative efforts under the functional direction of the Administrative Director.

This position is a Grade: 7 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $36,640 - $43,980 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO).
• Provide direct advising and support to international students and scholars.
• Ensure compliance with federal immigration regulations and university policies.
• Facilitate communications and coordinate logistics for international student services.
• Contribute to cross-departmental shared services operations (20% effort).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance systems.
• Support international student engagement and programming initiatives.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Three to five years related work experience.
• US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency required by federal regulation in order to serve as a DSO/ARO.
• Knowledge of F and J visa regulations and SEVIS procedures strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and intercultural skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion.
• Familiarity with data systems (Sunapsis, Banner, Qualtrics) and digital communications tools.
• Commitment to international student success and inclusive service delivery.
