LCRA’s Substation Engineering department is looking for an Engineer Sr. to join the SCADA team. As part of the team, your expertise will contribute to design, operate and build the crucial electrical infrastructure of Central Texas in an organization that strives to enhance the quality of life of Texans we serve.
We are looking for someone who has vast experience on SCADA design principles for Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), Facility Ratings, NERC CIP Standards, Supervisory Interface Panel (SIP), RTU Configuration, Schematics and Substation Communication Overview. In addition, an Engineer that is engaging, collaborative and has excellent mentoring skills to collaborate with a great team of Engineers and Designers.

You will be trusted to:
1. Conducts and takes full responsibility for complex engineering studies which require advanced knowledge within the SCADA and R&C team. 2. Performs field analysis, designs, costs estimate, layout of drafting work, and the correlation/compilation of complex Engineering tasks. 3. Direct or coordinate the work of other engineers, technicians or others. 4. Provides coordination, monitors progress, interprets results to ensure timely completion of assignments. 5. Review and Seal designs. 6. Train and mentor designers and engineers 7. Support the scoping efforts by reviewing preliminary engineering documents. 8. Support reviews for projects designed by Engineering Consultants 9. Visit project sites and document field observations 10. Interaction with other groups: Field Support, SOCC, Project Managers and others

You qualify with:
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas plus eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering. - Driver's license
