The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry is seeking a detail oriented and motivated HUMAN RESOURCES ANALYST responsible for the timely processing of a wide variety of position and salary actions in AZ360. This position is also responsible for customer service, filling HR documentation and preparing reports at the Arizona State Prison Complex (ASPC) - Lewis.

Job Duties:

- Provides customer service to employees regarding HR related inquiries including deposits, taxes, benefits, promotional and transfer opportunities
- Researches and prepares HRIS input documents on a variety of employee personnel actions such as new hires, promotions, resignations, demotions, transfers, reversions, audits actions, reconciles AZ360 entries for accuracy, etc.
- Conducts new hire and lateral transfers in-process, reviews all new hire and lateral transfers mandated forms and informs new staff of employee benefits options
- Ensures E-verify are completed timely
- Processes all institution in-coming contractors and non-religious volunteers, completes background questionnaires, coordinates fingerprints and the submission of all completed background packets to the appropriate location
- Processes ID request, creates contractor/volunteer file, tracks ID expiration dates, updates log for monthly reporting, etc.
- Utilizes a variety of computer programs and software daily including AZ360, Microsoft, and Google Products
- Produces and researches the HRIS Status Term Report sending regular notices out to the units of upcoming status term dates for employee performance evaluation
- Creates input document and submit original to HR Operations Central Office for processing and filling
- Creates Institution HR Files for all newly hired staff, including contractors and volunteers
- Files all incoming HR, Benefit and related actions and documentation
- Drives on state business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
