Job Summary/Basic Function
Reporting to the Vice Provost for Faculty and Strategic Initiatives, the Senior Academic and Faculty Support Specialist will directly support faculty affairs processes and functions, including academic misconduct, grade appeals, policy revision, faculty handbook, faculty committees, and other special areas as assigned. The Specialist will direct, investigate and resolve all academic misconduct disciplinary matters involving MTSU students; oversee all academic misconduct training, outreach, and programming for MTSU faculty and students; support students with grade appeals; support various data projects and reporting; prepare policy updates, revisions, reviews, and faculty recognition; and direct, evaluate, and oversee other related tasks or special projects as assigned.
Required Education
A master's degree in higher education leadership/administration, social/behavioral science, business, or a related field is required. A master’s degree with two (2) years of full-time verifiable, professional, progressively responsible work experience in student services, faculty/academic affairs, advisement, counseling, or a related field at the postsecondary level will also be considered.
Required Related Experience
Two (2) years of full time verifiable, professional, progressively responsible work experience in student services, faculty/academic affairs, advisement, counseling or a closely related field at the postsecondary level is required.
Desirable Related Experience
Applicants with two (2) years of experience in project management, academic integrity, data analytics, or faculty/academic affairs will receive special consideration.
