About the Role:
As a Systems Engineer within our client-side applications team, you will serve as the go-to Infrastructure SME, pivotal in addressing and resolving complex technical issues. This role demands a high degree of independence and initiative, as you'll be responsible for troubleshooting and optimizing infrastructure-related challenges that the applications team encounters.

You'll collaborate closely with various teams and other SMEs to exchange ideas and devise effective solutions. Your exceptional communication skills will be crucial for articulating technical issues and solutions clearly, while your ability to work autonomously will ensure prompt and efficient problem resolution. As an embedded member of the customer’s team, you’ll also be responsible for escalating critical issues when necessary, making your role central to maintaining and enhancing system performance.

In the role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Working on Azure cloud, Infrastructure as code (DevOps, PowerShell, JSON, YAML), Servers, Web Apps, Networking, Load balancing, SQL Databases, Security/Certificates, AD App registrations Scripting with PowerShell.
  • Utilising your technical expertise in Wintel, SQL, Cloud.
  • Demonstrating a high level of problem-solving skills.
  • Working in an Agile environment.
  • Engaging with customers and internal KIT stakeholders at various levels.

About You:

  • Extensive experience with Azure cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code tools (DevOps, PowerShell, JSON, YAML).
  • Proficient in managing servers, web apps, networking, load balancing, SQL databases, and security certificates.
  • Strong scripting skills with PowerShell.
  • Deep technical expertise in Wintel, SQL, and cloud technologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for developing innovative solutions.
  • Comfortable working within an Agile framework.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at various levels.
