The Drake University School of Education – Department of Teaching and Learning invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor. This candidate will be responsible for teaching classes related to Assessment, Diagnosis & Evaluation in Special Education. Candidates must have a successful track record in administering and evaluating the results of standard and research-based assessment practices in K-12 settings. Experience as an AEA and/or State Department of Education in assessment is an additional advantage The successful candidate will teach one section in the Spring of 2026 to group of undergraduate and graduate students seeking Special Education Certification. The course objectives have already been established. The instructor is responsible for facilitating course activities and projects designed to meet the course objectives as well as grading all related coursework. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in musical theatre, experience teaching and directing at the university level and professional performance experience. Equipment Assistant - 100017 Iowa
Drake University Department of Athletics is seeking an Equipment Assistant for the 2025-26 football season. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in equipment management within an NCAA Division I athletics program.  This is a 5-month temporary position. Job Responsibilities: • Assist the Director of Equipment Operations with the day-to-day management and preparation for athletic events and team practices, primarily for the 2025-26 football season. • Support equipment inventory, maintenance, and distribution for most, but not all, Drake Athletics teams. • Gain some exposure to the administrative functions of an intercollegiate athletics program, including personnel management and operational logistics. • Perform other duties as assigned to support the athletics department.

The Department of Marketing and Organizational Leadership at Drake University’s Zimpleman College of Business invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Marketing. This is an in-person/on-campus appointment. Excellence in teaching, research, and service is expected. Normal course load for a scholarly academic per AACSB qualifications is 3 sections per semester. Primary teaching responsibilities will include in-person delivery of a range of marketing courses in subjects including marketing principles, marketing research, marketing analytics, and selected advanced marketing electives. Candidates may also be asked to cover subjects including MBA marketing classes, sales, and/or global marketing, depending on interest, experience, and departmental needs. As a Drake faculty member, the candidate is also expected to maintain an active research agenda to include publishing in respected peer-reviewed journals in marketing and related fields. This part-time adjunct position involves teaching one section of this undergraduate marketing research course in-person late morning on Mondays and Wednesdays from August - December. Course Description: This course introduces students to entrepreneurship and the vital role entrepreneurs and innovation play in the global economy. Using the current leading business model generator, Business Model Canvas, this course uses a project-based, immersive, and intensive approach to guide you in making assumptions and utilizing data gained through research to conceptualize and capitalize on opportunities resulting in the formation of a business idea. Course topics include idea generation, mapping the ecosystem, creating customer profiles, developing an initial marketing strategy, identifying a minimal viable product, and cultivating a growth mindset to pivot or persevere to overcome rejection and failure. Students will develop resiliency while developing research, communication, and presentation skills.

Duties will include overseeing faculty-student research projects, including determining project groups; mentoring junior faculty scholarship development; and developing and maintaining a fundable line of scholarship.
