Job Summary
Provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the Applied and Innovative Technology division, ensuring alignment with Tennessee Board of Regents and institutional policies. Responsible for managing budgets, faculty workload (including adjuncts), course scheduling, and daily operations. Supports a positive teaching and learning environment, evaluates faculty and staff performance, and assists with student issue resolution. Participates in committees, oversees accreditation and self-study processes, and fosters collaboration across the college community.
Job Duties
Provide leadership for the Applied and Innovative Technology division within the guidelines of the Tennessee Board of Regents and college policies and procedures.
Manage the Applied and Innovative Technology budgets.
Manage the division workload including the use of adjunct faculty.
Coordinate and schedule the division curricular offerings.
Foster an atmosphere where teaching and learning can occur between student and faculty.
Oversee the day-to-day function of the Applied and Innovative Technology division.
Evaluate all faculty and division staff.
Serve on various committees as needed including program advisory committees.
Assist in the resolution of student issues.
Monitor and facilitate Self Study/Accreditation Processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in a relevant to career or transfer disciplines in the division.
Five (5) or more years of higher education teaching experience.
Evidence of leadership skills.
A commitment to effective strategies to facilitate student completion and success.
Funding for this position is dependent upon budget approval.
