Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving UMW
The Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving at the University of Mary Washington is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to identify, cultivate, and secure support for University of Mary Washington initiatives from corporate partners and private foundations. This role will foster and steward relationships that advance the University’s mission, priorities, and fundraising goals.
Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach UMW
The University of Mary Washington, a Division III member of the NCAA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lecturer/Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. The Head Men's Lacrosse Coach will be responsible for all facts of the program, including, but not limited to, recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, academic performance of student athletes, team budget and travel, fundraising, assistant coaches, practice and game preparation and other duties as assigned. The head coach will also be a member of the faculty and responsible for teaching courses within the department of Athletics, Health, and Physical Education. This individual will be required to be CPR and 1st Aid certified. As members of the athletic department and teaching faculty, head coaches play a role in service to the College of Education as well as the university.
Director of Development UMW
The Director of Development is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and principal gift prospects of $25K+ for the purposes of garnering support for university initiatives. Working closely with colleagues in Advancement and Alumni Engagement, and across the University, the Director of Development is responsible for managing and building a portfolio of 100-150 prospects capable of making current-use, endowed, or planned gifts of $25K or more, with an emphasis on developing long-term relationships that lead to sustained philanthropic support.
Visiting Instructor UMW
The Visiting Instructor is a non-tenure track position held by an individual who possesses all the qualifications to be appointed at that rank. The Visiting Instructor's teaching responsibilities are assigned by the academic department head and may include serving as an academic advisor. To meet with students for office hours every week and to be available to communicate with students regularly. To attend department meetings, convocation, and other university-wide meetings as needed. To keep accurate attendance, provide syllabi by the first class day, grade assignments in a timely manner, to submit midterm and final grades on time, and to communicate with the department chair and other faculty as needed.

Assistant Director of Alumni Programs UMW
The Assistant Director of Alumni Programs is a member of the Advancement and Alumni Engagement team, reporting to the Director of Alumni Programs. The Assistant Director will develop and implement creative and focused programming for assigned alumni groups including the 1908 Society and those with family connections to UMW. The Assistant Director will serve as the primary liaison between the division and the Office of Career and Professional Development and implement joint programming to support students and alumni.
Executive Office Manager UMW
Manage day-to-day operations of the Office of the President, under the immediate supervision of the Chief of Staff and in close coordination with the President. Ensure that all office functions are carried out with exceptional attention to detail and that very high levels of responsiveness and customer service are achieved. Provide clerical and administrative support for the President and for the Chief of Staff. Oversee administrative and logistical matters for the office. Serve in a resource and public relations role with a wide variety of internal and external constituencies based on an understanding of the academic environment, the interests of the University, and relevant policies and procedures. Coordinate and manage a complex schedule of commitments for the President and Chief of Staff and proactively provide detailed planning and advance materials to support these commitments.
Student Leadership Prog Asst UMW
The primary responsibilities of the Program Assistant are to assist with the planning and implementation of all student leadership development initiatives.This role requires the Program Assistant to be available to work during regular office hours and to be on-site for programming during evening and weekend hours. The Program Assistant is required to live in UMW provided housing due to the late-night and weekend programming requirements, as well as support to the New Student Programs Office as needed. This person will also serve as a member of the University's crisis response team through a rotating on-call schedule.

Create a welcoming and responsive environment to provide the highest professional customer services to campus guests, telephone callers, and email correspondence. Supervise the daily campus visit support of the Washington Guides (student tour guides). Provide administrative support for scheduling and event preparation and execution.
Admissions Counselor UMW
The admissions counselor will successfully manage a regional territory to support new student enrollment goals. They will establish a multi-faceted territory recruitment plan which will include significant travel to high schools and college fairs, planning and execution of regional events, application review, decision recommendations, and personal follow up and relationship-building with constituents within the territory. As an admissions team member, the admissions counselor will assist in the execution of on and off campus events, in addition to the performance of daily operational tasks including but not limited to group information sessions, individual admission counseling appointments, interviews, and special projects as requested.
Student Support Specialist UMW
The Student Support Specialist supports student enrollment and retention initiatives. The position serves as the primary point of contact in providing quality customer experiences for students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders seeking guidance from the Office of the Registrar. This position provide front facing duties, supports the work of the department, daily operations and support through multiple modalities (email, in-person, and phone). This position is also responsible for the records retention schedule, document imaging and preparing, diploma ordering and monitoring orders using eVA for all departments reporting to the Registrar’s Office.
