Assistant Director of Training Compliance and System Support UMW
The Assistant Director for Training Compliance and System Support (TCSS) works closely with the Associate Controller for TCSS and the Director of TCSS to support the Administration and Finance division in finance related systems, securities and operational protocol. This position also works closely with the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve third party interface issues, banner and third party upgrades and interfaces, testing and troubleshooting. This position serves as security contact for eVA, Banner, and Cashnet systems and will work with respective state and private system contacts for system help ticket issuance and resolve. The position is responsible for community training and educational materials, e commerce operations, data integrity, and website and form design. The Assistant Director must be comfortable leading or participating in both small and large scale settings and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Marketing and Media Intern UMW
Job Summary/Basic Functions The Office of Annual Giving is seeking a creative student with an interest in graphic design, video production, and/or social media to support content creation for fundraising campaigns. The intern will assist with designing marketing graphics, producing photo and video content, and assisting in the reimplementation of the student philanthropy program. Projects may included but are not limited to: •Design graphics for emails, social media, and printed pieces •Create and edit photo and video content •Brainstorm and pitch ideas to engage students in giving campaigns •Help tell the UMW story through visuals and messaging •Assist with content for key campaigns, including: •EAGLE funding (club crowdfunding in October) •Giving Tuesday (fall) and Mary Wash Day (spring) •Young Alumni and Reunion Giving initiatives •Stewardship content to thank and inspire donors year-round Schedule is flexible based on student's availability and class schedule.
Project Inspector UMW
Inspect construction installation and workmanship for compliance with the approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and referenced standards. Monitor and inspect construction materials, equipment, and supplies for compliance with contract documents, shop drawings, and submittals. Prepare daily log of construction activity including record of tests and inspections performed, photographs, field changes, non-compliant work, and other significant events. Provide timely information to directors of Capital Outlay, assigned project manager, architect/engineer (A/E), and other University personnel as to job progress and conformance with contract documents.
Electrician Senior UMW
Provide critical electrical repair, maintenance and support to UMW Facilities building systems and equipment. This position is deemed "Essential" as defined in Policy No. 1.04 of the Department of Human Resources Management Policies and Procedures Manual.
Eagles in Flight Director UMW
Through a SCHEV awarded Pell Initiative Virginia grant, UMW is creating a small college-focused counseling and recruitment team to work closely with low-income students and families beginning in middle school to build college awareness and a college-going culture among students most at-risk for graduating and moving on to post-secondary education. The director will be focused on establishing the foundational elements of the program, identifying and building relationships with partner high schools and feeder middle schools, directing the activities of an advisor, and ultimately executing the program to plan. This individual will report to the Dean of Admissions but engage collaboratively with the first-year recruitment team, the Office of Financial Aid, the Center for Student Transition, Access, and Retention Services, and others across campus to provide informative and timely activities to build college awareness and affinity with UMW.

Administer construction of assigned projects with oversight by Capital Outlay Director and in accordance with contract documents, the Commonwealth of Virginia Construction and Professional Services Manual, and state procurement regulations and requirements.
