Salary package of $178,647, include a base salary of $158,152 p.a plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Senior Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing all the financial aspects of TAFE capital and operating expenditure projects with building key relationships, providing financial advice, guidance and information to project managers and other relevant stakeholders, monitoring the project performance against budget and forecasts, delivering consolidated projects forecast, supporting project budget submissions, contribute to governance frameworks, maintaining project accounting policies and procedures and producing regular project reporting.

This position sits within the Finance Business Partnering Corporate team reporting to Senior Manager, Project Accounting.

About You 

You are a financial expert, with experience in shaping business decisions by building relationships, providing trusted insights and advice.  You previously had a significant exposure to project and capital accounting in a large complex organisation, including knowledge of asset capitalisation requirements and capital expenditure budgeting and forecasting. You have strong analytical and impeccable communication skills, are organised and a natural problem solver. You enjoy building trusting relationships, collaborating with your team and taking initiative.

You have experience building reports and previous exposure to large ERP tools. Knowledge of Power BI and SAP is an advantage.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement)
  2. Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience.
  3. Membership of recognised professional accounting association (at member or associate level).
  4. Strong experience in project accounting and business partnering in a large complex organisation, including knowledge of asset capitalisation requirements and capital expenditure budgeting and forecasting.
  5. Strong analytic skills with demonstrated experience translating insights into implementable recommendations.
