About the role:

We have several permanent opportunities within the Commercial Insurance space for Senior Business Analysts.

Ideally you will have:

  • Commercial insurance experience
  • Operational transformation experience (lead or contributed to significant changes in how a business operates particularly through modernisation, digitisation, and efficiency improvements)
  • Experience within Regulatory, Risk and/or Compliance from a large organisation; experience in Business Continuity, Critical Operations, Supplier Management, Control Automation or Privacy from a risk standpoint would be highly regarded 
  • Demonstrated a solution mindset and show to work effectively with other areas to drive outcomes

 

You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 250 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.

What you'll do

  • Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
  • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
  • Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
  • Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
  • Working in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitate workshops and design solution sessions

 What you'll bring

  • ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4+ years’ Senior Business Analysis experience within a corporate environment
  • Commercial Insurance experience is highly regarded
  • Either workers comp, AI or operational transformation experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation
  • Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines, while also working autonomously.
