As a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting Advisor, you will support Suncorp’s climate initiatives by ensuring precise tracking of greenhouse gas data and helping to guide informed decisions. You will collaborate with various teams across the organisation to produce thorough reports, support verification procedures, and promote ongoing improvements in sustainability efforts.

- 6-month contract
- 12-month contract
What You’ll Do
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of Suncorp’s Group GHG Inventory for public disclosures and internal reporting
- Source, validate, and update environmental data from asset management, , energy usage, supply chain, and third parties
- Provide sustainability data for external rating agencies and compliance reports, supporting the Environment & Climate and Sustainability teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GHG metrics into business processes and support Climate Transition Plan commitments
- Identify and implement improvements in reporting platforms, data quality, and operational frameworks
- Support assurance processes and audits to maintain integrity of GHG metrics and inventories
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in Analytics, GHG/Carbon Accounting, or Sustainability (minimum 3 years)
- Proficiency in data management and transformation tools such as SQL or Power Query
- Strong understanding of emissions quantification and sustainability reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, PCAF, NGERS, SASB, TCFD)
- Ability to analyse complex datasets, compile information, and provide actionable insights
- Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across all levels
- High-level written and verbal communication, with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions
