This is a strategic business architecture role focused on translating organisational strategy into actionable business designs. You will shape future-state operating models and guide transformation initiatives that deliver consistent, measurable outcomes for both customers and the business.
As a business‑centric architecture role, not a technology delivery position, your mandate is to embed business architecture practices across the organisation driving enterprise‑wide transformation through capability modelling, process design, and strategic alignment. By shaping how the business operates and evolves, you will enable measurable value realisation and position the organisation for sustainable growth.
What you will do
- Translate business strategy into target-state business designs and clear, actionable roadmaps
- Define and model departmental capabilities, value streams, processes, and information flows
- Maintain current and future-state business architectures and maturity assessments
- Advise on transformation initiatives such as digitisation, AI integration and new product development to ensure strategic alignment
- Design future-state processes to lift performance, improve consistency, and enhance customer outcomes
- Evaluate business transformation initiatives and business cases for alignment with strategy and successful delivery
- Ensure solutions align with design principles and deliver tangible business value
- Promote process governance and alignment with enterprise frameworks
- Collaborate with communities of practice (e.g. business analysts, data scientists) to embed business architecture practices across the enterprise
What you will bring
- 7+ years’ experience in business architecture, business process design or strategic business analysis
- Strong critical thinking and systems thinking capabilities
- Business Architecture or related certifications. (e.g. CBA®, BIZBOK®, ACORD)
- Strong knowledge of insurance from a customer centric, value-driven perspective
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with Lean, Agile, and Design Thinking approaches
- Qualifications in Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or project/consulting (desirable)
