Our Terri Scheer brand is one of the market leaders in Landlord Insurance, and we have an exciting 9-month secondment opportunity for a vibrant, passionate and customer focused individual to join our Claims team as a Technical Support Officer.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, quality assurance, claims processing, training, developing and coaching team members to perform their best.

What you’ll do

  • Provide claims support including referrals, payment approvals, file audits, and claims processing assistance.
  • Support coaching and training initiatives alongside the Claims Performance Manager to drive team success.
  • Monitor call activity and deliver monthly reports on trends or issues to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader to foster a high-performance culture and achieve strategic business goals.
  • Manage risk by reviewing claims thoroughly to reduce leakage and ensure recoveries are actioned.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organisational standards, reporting any breaches promptly.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders, responding promptly to enquiries and complaints.

What you’ll bring

  • Acts as a subject matter expert on claims, with strong knowledge of Terri Scheer claims, NurvX, and relevant insurance codes and policies.
  • Leads by example, demonstrating self-motivation, accountability, resilience, and the ability to manage difficult situations effectively.
  • Designs, facilitates, and delivers training, coaching, and mentoring to support team development and performance.
  • Uses strong problem-solving skills and initiative to make timely, quality decisions and adapt positively to change.
  • Communicates clearly and persuasively, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Prioritises work effectively to meet strategic goals, maintaining high attention to detail and a customer-centric focus.
  • Proficient with PC and database applications to support accurate claims processing and reporting.
