About the team:
The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for enabling the Group to manage the risks associated with their respective area of focus in line with the Group’s risk appetite. In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations.
About the role:
As Senior Manager Compliance and reporting to Head of Risk and Compliance Services your focus will be supporting the ongoing development, implementation and management of the compliance framework while leading and managing a specialist Compliance team.
You’ll get to:
- Be actively involved in testing, reviewing and monitoring compliance obligations within the Group and specific Division
- Assessing regulatory change impacts and supporting implementation
- Identifying and supporting potential control uplifts to ensure obligations are met
- Preparing regulatory responses and notifications, and supporting divisions with additional training requirements
- Providing regulatory compliance advice in relation to the Bank’s compliance obligations
- Leading and managing a team of Compliance specialists
- Working closely with other members of the divisional Risk Team, various Business Units and Group Regulatory Compliance to enhance and support a strong risk and compliance culture
This is a 12-month secondment opportunity ideally located at one of our corporate offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo or Sydney but for the right candidate open to location.
About you:
To be successful you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications or certifications in Law, Risk, Banking or Business-related fields highly desirable
- Extensive Risk and Compliance experience in Banking & Financial Servies (Line 1 or 2)
- Demonstrated technical skills and expertise across Risk and Compliance activities
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Highly developed influencing and communications skills including report writing and ability to explain complexity to a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead, influence and mentor staff
