The Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join during an exciting time of change, delivering all MW’s payroll services and ensuring BAU processes are executed in Chris21, while supporting the Kronos implementation project team. Key responsibilities include;

  • Providing specialist expertise for Payroll Legislation, Awards, Industrial Agreements and statutory/legislative requirements including delivery of periodic Remuneration and Benefits review programs for Senior Managers and Executives. 
  • Delivery of accurate and timely fortnightly end to end payroll service, including the preparation, balancing and reconciling of payroll, Payroll Taxes and Superannuation preparation entry and transmission of fortnightly payroll data and associated material.
  • Ensuring all payroll documents are prepared and relevant payroll information is recorded and entered into the company's payroll system (Chris21), accurately and within predetermined time constraints.
  • Assisting with the year-end process including, but not limited to processing and distribution of annual payment summaries, ensuring annual payroll tax and Workers Compensation premium calculations are produced and paid and in accordance with legislative requirements.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in Chris21 and Kronos with demonstrated skills in processing fortnightly end to payroll while delivering exceptional levels of customer service and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation i.e. NES, taxation and superannuation.
  • Competent numeracy skills, with the ability to understand routine formulas and calculate payroll matters such as overtime and remuneration package/contract details in MS packages (word/excel)
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and support on projects as required.


Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with

Knowledge and expertise gained through previous Senior Payroll experience in a similar sized organisation
