The Role

As the Major Hazard Facility Engineer, Silvan you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of our obligations under the Silvan Major Hazard Facility (MHF) Safety case. This includes;

  • Performance monitoring, review and reporting of MHF safety controls and liaison with WorkSafe.
  • Coordination and participation in WorkSafe Oversight visits and Annual Inspections.
  • Support and lead the management of change process for operational and maintenance changes, new capital works, incident investigations etc.
  • Supporting Emergency Planning activities, including Contingency Plan and Emergency Response Plan review and testing.
  • Contribute to process safety improvements at MHF &non-MHF sites, including leading and participating in incident investigations as required
  • Setting priorities managing training of staff and maintaining projects and budgets are on time and financial obligations are met.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience and expertise in Project Management, Process Engineering and Process Safety.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and an ability to pursue agreed objectives and use sound problem solving skills to overcome obstacles.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of drinking water treatment processes.
  • Proven ability to work at both a strategic and detailed level.
  • Exceptional time management, communication and problem solving ability will be required with strong stakeholder management.

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a Degree in engineering or science or relevant equivalent.
