About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Delivery, these are pivotal roles within the Service Delivery Portfolio. As the Program Lead Environment you will be responsible for: supporting infield oversight to multiple work groups for delivery of Natural Resource Management maintenance and associated projects on Melbourne Water’s Waterway Land assets.  

  • Leading, mentoring and providing professional expertise to a skilled team responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and reliable delivery of multiple Natural Resource Management maintenance programs and projects.  
  • Front line operational direction including day-to-day activity planning for a number of work crews/ team members as well as external contractors. 
  • Ensure the delivery of works program is within the allocated budget and is optimised and continuously improved. 
  • Valid Driver’s Licence as this role requires occasional travel.
  • Help to foster a culture of Health, Safety & Wellbeing.

About you:

  • You have technical or practical experience and skills in delivering projects within Natural Resource Management, Civil Construction or Water Civil Maintenance industry. 
  • Experience with preparing and implementing project safety documents including site hazard identification and mitigation measure. 
  • Management of stakeholder interactions and change(s), including negotiation with stakeholders. 
  • A strong focus on effectively delivering project safety, quality, financial and environmental and reputational outcomes. 
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or Natural Resource Management is highly desired.

We have two full time roles primarily based from Brooklyn Pumping Station.  You will be required to travel to other Melbourne Water locations and field sites within the North and West of Greater Melbourne. You will be allocated an operational work vehicle.
