About the Role

Reporting to Manager Service Enablement ETP The Project Manager is accountable to for the Manager Service Enablement achieving business benefits from the delivery of the Service Enablement One Water program by implementing best practice systems, processes and procurement methodologies; and ensuring all allocated projects are developed and delivered safely, efficiently, on time, to budget and meet the required business quality and functional requirements.

• The realisation of business benefits via the safe and effective delivery of all allocated projects within the Service Enablement One Water Program
• Achieving value for money outcomes by challenging project scope, delivery methodologies and driving best practice in capital delivery systems and processes
• Project budget, schedule, forecast and risks, and driving a Generative safety culture on projects
• Project development from project initiation to Ready for Tender within agreed parameters of time, quality and cost, including development of project Functional Requirements, preparing artefacts for tender documentation, obtaining permits (planning, heritage, cultural, environmental) and delivery model determination (D&C, or D then C)

About you:

• Strong knowledge of project management, change management, budgeting and financial acumen.
• Design and construction and project management of large multi-concurrent projects
• Competency-based project management certification with a relevant local or international professional organization such as AIPM, IPMA, GAPPS or equivalent is desirable alongside relevant degree
• Post-graduate degree in business is desirable
• Highly developed technical leadership skills supported by highly developed communication and negotiation skills.

As an operator of critical infrastructure, Melbourne Water is required to determine what roles are critical under the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act 2018. The role you are being engaged to perform is deemed SOCI critical, you will be required to undertake an AusCheck background check. Your commencement in a SOCI critical role will be dependent on successfully submitting an AusCheck application and attending an in-person ID Verification with a member of the Melbourne Water People & Transformation team. Your continued engagement in a SOCI critical role will be dependent on the satisfactory outcome of a background check via AusCheck.

Details on obtaining an AusCheck background check will be provided by Melbourne Water People & Transformation Team prior to the commencement of your new position.
