    As the Waterways and Catchment Operations Rural Land Officer you’ll be responsible for implementing the Rural Land Program within the Western and Northern catchments of Melbourne Water’s operating area. The objectives of the Rural Land Program are to reduce nutrients and sediment loads from private properties in rural areas to waterways. The key deliverables of this role includes maintaining our customer’s confidence and trust as the region’s waterway manager, provider of valued drainage and land services.

    Initially reporting to the maintenance lead as the Forward Planner you’ll be responsible for the delivery and facilitation of efficient and effective maintenance regimes through clear forward  planning and coordination of Melbourne Water’s delivery and operational teams, maintenance service providers and all other contractors. Lead the development and ongoing optimisation of maintenance annual work plans to ensure they are balanced to deliver best for customer and business outcome. You will be familiar with Forecasting & Budgeting, forecasting a rolling window of work monthly, but also forecasting the cost so MW can action any overrun costs. The position is a 12 month fixed term contract primary located in the western suburbs of Melbourne this position may have some requirements to travel to various sites on occasion.

    As the Team Leader, Flood Information you’ll be responsible for Leading a team of six hydrologic and hydraulic modelling professionals that manages, improves and maintains Melbourne Waters flood information and provide expert advice on flood risks. The team will ensure Melbourne Water’s flood information is developed and maintained to agreed standards (in line with the Port Phillip and Westernport Flood Strategy) including initiation of new flood studies as determined by through risk based assessments or customer needs.
