About the role

As our next Training Coordinator reporting to the Health, Safety, Environment& Training Manager, you will collaborate with a high performing team to ensure a focused, global approach to training in line with the framework developed by Australia East Training and Development Team.

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Successfully coordinate and manage project training, leadership and development activities in line with agreed project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with project HSE&T standards, processes and procedures as well as legislative requirements.
  • Monitor, analyse and report project performance in terms of achieving training objectives
  • Manage course bookings, onsite training and inductions
  • Create and maintain site training plans
  • Maintaining the site training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps between current skill, competency levels and required skill levels in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Develop, implement and maintain site skills matrix and training plans with a focus on proficiency-based training outcomes
  • Oversee the training and development of project Trainers and Assessors


  • 5 days on 2 days off roster starting with full camp facilities provided

About you

The following abilities and certifications are all highly regarded:

  • TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • S123 and G2 Qualification
  • High level computer literacy
  • Experience in managing a project-based training needs analysis, skills matrix and training plans
  • Strong administrative skills and experience in online training systems
  • Ability to map training packages to recognised competencies (particularly RII packages)
  • Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment (Dump truck e.g. 797F & 793F, Watercart, Grader e.g 18M, Dozer, Loader, Excavator, Rope Shovel) and/or a Mining Maintenance background will be an advantage
