About North East Link 

 

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

 

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

 

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

 

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Quality Advisor to join our fast-paced team working on the North East Link project. As a Senior Quality Advisor, you will provide onsite technical support to manage quality requirements in accordance with project requirements while assessing and performing audit activities for external stakeholders to verify compliance.

 

This role will be accountable for:

  • Develop and implement systems and practices for the factory that support the achievement of the objectives outlined in the Quality Plan and the requirements of the management system procedures, including the establishment of a lot management system to track compliance of the products.
  • Development of documents, procedures and checklists which form part of the Quality Management System
  • Assess and perform audit activities for consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors to verify compliance with factory contract requirements.
  • Monitor the integrity of quality related data recorded by site personnel in the Quality database.
  • Provide support to Quality Manager in the implementation of Quality Management Plan in conjunction with Project Contract Requirements.
  • Review work practices and assist in development of the techniques to deliver improvements and efficiency to management of work processes.
  • Ensure site staff and key workforce members understand the Quality Management System, the Project’s quality requirements, objectives and detect response requirements as set down with the contract.
  • Report on and manage quality on the Project, and to contribute to the Quality management team to enhance design, construction and commercial outcomes. 

 

 

Minimum requirements for this role are:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in similar role on a medium to large scale project
  • Diploma in Engineering, Quality Management or Project Management
  • Knowledge of Quality Management processes in a environment
  • Skills in monitoring, reviewing, reporting and continuous improvement on performance and compliance
  • Reporting, auditing and risk management procedures and processes
  • Development of Inspection & Test Plans, Work Instructions, and quality checklists
  • Understanding or ability to interpret specifications
  • Experience in the infrastructure sector is preferable
  • Experience in managing a team and proven time management, excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills with a sound analytical/methodical approach to Quality
