Your opportunity

We are looking for an HR Manager to support a large civil construction project. Reporting into the Project Director, the HR Manager will drive a proactive, leading edge HR focus across the project and support the development, implementation and maintenance of effective strategies, initiatives and "best practice" processes, procedures and systems. The position is based in North Sydney.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • The ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level and flex when required.
  • The drive to initiate credible relationships on project, and the influence to deliver the HR lifecycle.
  • A track record of implementing measurable culture initiatives, plus the passion to own broader BU HR initiatives.
  • The foresight to understand the big picture regarding careers, redeployment and resourcing across the projects.
  • The IR acumen to interpret employment contracts, awards, enterprise agreements and their application.
  • The tactical ability to intervene and resolve difficult situations; performance, investigations, disputes.
  • Experience facilitating short information sessions whilst representing the CPB brand professionally.
  • An appetite for change.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business Management, or related discipline.

CPB Contractors is an equal-opportunity employer. We support women in construction, Indigenous advancement, and participation and encourage people of all cultural backgrounds to apply.

We’re always looking for ways to make CPB Contractors a more rewarding place to work and offer a unique set of benefits, including:

  • A rewarding career where we support your development, training and promote from within.
  • Opportunities across all construction sectors so that there is always an opportunity suitable for the next stage in your career.
  • Competitive remuneration and excellent benefits including a health and wellbeing program, discount portal and company-funded salary continuance insurance.
  • Flexible work arrangements and a culture that values diversity and innovation.

Please note: This role is being sourced through CPB Contractors directly and we will not accept applications via external recruitment agencies.
