The Project

CPB Contractors, in Alliance partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa. The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  Works are commencing now and will go through until mid-2026.

Your Opportunity

CPB Contactors are currently looking to engage a qualified & experienced QC/QA Inspector for a major BHP Western Ridge Crusher Project based in Newman. This role will be FIFO from Perth working 14 days on, 7 days off, Fly in Fly out roster.  This is a great opportunity to join construction industry leader.

 Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • CSWIP 3.1/ and NACE 2 Qualified
  • Previous Experience in a QC Inspector position working on large scale SMP&EI projects
  • Strong ability to develop strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management processes in a construction environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction verification, QA/QC documentation including ITP’s and ITR’s
  • Experience in CCMS (Hexagon) Inspection test report Verification (Preferable )
  • Identifies, reports and quarantines non-conforming products.
  • Working knowledge of NDT, Coating, Mechanical Equipment installation
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant Australian Standards
  • QA/QC Systems and coordination experience
  • Proven experience in leading and managing work teams
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels
  • A commitment to safety and health above all else
  • Willingness to work on 14 days on, 7 days off, Fly in Fly out roster.
