Your opportunity

The Regional Sustainability Lead is a key role within the SHES function responsible for supporting regional Business Units and their projects teams to achieve company sustainability targets and objectives.

Additional accountabilities include;

  • Driving the development of best practice company sustainability plans, systems and implementation of best practice and innovative sustainability outcomes.
  • Providing regional technical advice, leadership, mentoring and training to increase sustainability awareness and capability.
  • Ensuring the monitoring of regional sustainability performance and implementing regional continual improvement and corrective actions are delivered.
  • Advocate for, and coach and mentor project leadership in effective implementation of the corporate sustainability strategy, CPB Contractors Management System (CMS).

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Proven experience in the sustainability industry with relevant qualifications in sustainable development, engineering, architecture or environmental science.
  • Ability to educate, empower and influence key internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience developing corporate sustainability strategies, aligning with relevant industry, domestic and international standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in project review and auditing, including sustainability management systems, energy, water, waste and materials reporting and IS and Green Star.

This role supports two Business Units (QLD & PNG and WA, SA & NT) and can be based in either Brisbane or Perth.
