The Project 

Queensland Government-owned corporation, Sunwater is planning for the construction of a new dam wall immediately downstream from the existing Paradise Dam on the Burnett River.

The project is a large, multi-year project that will ensure a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region for future generations.

This role is part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, with CPB Contractors / Georgiou appointed as major construction partner and GHD as the ongoing design partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Manager and Project Team with managing all commercial and technical documents for PDIP
  • Working closely with the PDIP site-based teams and quality personnel providing QA support
  • Ensure data integrity and become familiar with requirements of the Project Management Plan and Procedures and ensure implementation
  • Actively liase / build strong relationships and networks with Sunwater, Alliance Project Team, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Efficiently implement process and compliance as agreed. Ability to provide system reports
  • Assist in set-up and establish electronic document management system (EDMS) for PDIP
  • Assist and support to develop and maintain workflows, Iota, finalise Quality Management Plan for client approval development and implementation of Project Management Systems (PMS), etc.
  • Assist Engineers in the development of the Construction Area Plan folders and Work Pack folders
  • Encourage Project Team to work effectively with the EDMS (Aconex/ TeamBinder) to ensure compliance but also use of its maximum potential
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Alliance’s Quality Principles and Management System requirements, and industry best practices
  • Ensure that all project documentation adheres to company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Assist with monitoring of Quality KPI’s for the project
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant PDIP and Participant Company policies and processes.

Requirements for this role:

  • High School certificate or Diploma in Business or Administration
  • At least 2 ½ years relevant experience
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel
  • Experience on Construction Projects (desirable)
  • Experience in Electronic Document Management System and/or Quality Management System e.g. TeamBinder, Aconex (desirable)
  • Experience with Data Management, Validation, and Reporting
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Note this role will initially be based in our Alliance office (Fortitude Valley), however the Quality Administrator will be required to mobilise to site. You must be willing to work on site either FIFO or DIDO
