What does the job look like?
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant is responsible to provide support to manage the financial and administrative aspects of the contracts and portfolio allocated. The responsibilities include the production of weekly and monthly financial information including variance analysis, assisting with annual budgets as well as providing support to the department for a variety of projects and tasks.
Collaborate with a dedicated and highly collaborative team to optimize business activities and deliver high-quality service to our customers, ensuring compliance with our contractual obligations.
Key areas:
- Preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, including commentary and additional information as required.
- Preparation and tracking of wages information, including commentary and issue identification against targets
- Management of Fixed Asset requirements for the portfolio and contract assigned.
- Support in preparation of yearly budgeting process.
- Contribute positively to continuous improvement activities across the business.
Are you the one?
We are looking for a positive, outcome-driven individual who can communicate complex financial information to a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should have a passion for continuous improvement, strong business acumen, and take pride in delivering your best work.
You can demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualified or working towards CA, CPA, or CFA qualifications.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a large firm, or as a Financial/Management Accountant in industry.
- Strong analytical mindset and numerical skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise ERPs is highly desirable.
