The Opportunity

As Director, Career Impact, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of graduate employability at Monash University. In this exciting new role, you will lead the design, growth and delivery of a globally distinctive careers and employability portfolio that positions Monash as a leader in developing enterprising, future-focused, globally-minded and career-agile graduates and positioning Monash graduates at the forefront of social and commercial enterprise. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a complex portfolio encompassing Careers, Leadership, the Monash Internships Team and The Generator. You will drive innovation, digital enablement and measurable impact across Monash’s global footprint, with a core focus on transforming student services and programs to deliver a personalised, integrated and seamless careers and employability experience for all Monash students and early career alumni that enhances student outcomes, graduate employability and the University’s international standing.

You will bring extensive senior leadership experience within higher education, underpinned by a student-centered approach and deep expertise in employability strategy and the future of work. You will also demonstrate a strong track record in developing and sustaining strategic partnerships across university, industry, government, community and global stakeholders, complemented by exceptional engagement, influence and negotiation skills. Highly strategic and operationally astute, you will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, financial management capability and an advanced understanding of marketing and communications to strengthen institutional positioning. With exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, industry networks and a future-focused mindset, you will mobilise colleagues across the University around a shared employability vision and position Monash at the forefront of global graduate employability and work readiness.
