About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data and Audit Officer to ensure the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of data and audit processes in organ and tissue donation. In this role, you will provide clinical expertise and consultancy to optimise data and audit practices, working closely with DonateLife SA’s State Medical Director, State Manager/Nursing Director, and the broader DonateLife network. Your work will be instrumental in supporting critical decision-making and enhancing the effectiveness of donation programs.

This role involves managing and maintaining key data systems essential to organ and tissue donation success, as well as delivering training to support data analysis, reporting, and quality assurance. If you have a passion for data integrity, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a meaningful and life-changing healthcare initiative.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced nursing professional with strong leadership and data management skills to drive excellence in organ and tissue donation auditing. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Leadership and problem-solving abilities – Proven skills in communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and fostering a positive workplace environment that supports staff development.
  • Data and project management expertise – Ability to manipulate data across multiple software platforms (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and manage projects effectively within set timelines.
  • Clinical and healthcare experience – A Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least three years of post-registration experience, demonstrating competence in nursing/midwifery practice and leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare standards – Understanding of legislation, industrial agreements, quality improvement systems, and contemporary healthcare issues relevant to nursing and midwifery.
