About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS/PIMHS team as a Senior Psychologist, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing advanced psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention to mothers, infants, and families experiencing complex perinatal mental health issues
  • Leading clinical care planning and decision-making within a multidisciplinary team in an acute inpatient setting
  • Offering clinical and professional supervision to psychology staff and contributing to staff development
  • Collaborating with allied health, nursing, medical, and service leaders to ensure high-quality, integrated care
  • Contributing to service development, planning, and evaluation in line with WCHN values and national standards
  • Driving quality improvement, safety initiatives, and outcome monitoring across the service
  • Supporting interagency coordination and advocating for consumer psychological needs in service delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • a Master's degree in Clinical or Health Psychology (or equivalent), with general registration, endorsement in clinical and/or health psychology, and approved supervisor status (primary and secondary) with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Communicate and work with individuals, other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
  • Work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction
  • Extensive clinical experience in the delivery of mental health psychology services to people in the perinatal period and infants with mental health issues, with advanced clinical experience in the delivery of a range of evidence based clinical modalities relevant to perinatal and infant mental health.
  • Extensive experience in the area of supervision of clinical staff in a mental health setting
