About the Role

As an Advanced Occupational Therapist Driving, you will work closely with the Driver Assessment Medical team, the Department of Transport and driving instructors to help provide patients with the best possible outcome in the return-to-drive process. This may include assessment, review of vehicle modifications, interventions for physical, visual, cognitive and psychological fitness in relation to driving. 

In this rewarding role, you’ll provide also provide consultancy and clinical supervision, while guiding and mentoring junior staff and students. You will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination, management, provision and review of Occupational Therapy driver assessment and rehabilitation services. Opportunities include being a lead in research and service development, holding a clinical portfolio, and representing Occupational Therapy on relevant committees and projects. About You

You are a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for driving rehabilitation and a commitment to excellence in patient care. You thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting and are ready to take on a senior role that offers both clinical leadership and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

  • You hold recognised qualifications and registration as an Occupational Therapist, with post-graduate study in driver assessment and rehabilitation.

  • You bring strong clinical leadership and communication skills, with experience supporting multidisciplinary teamwork and mentoring others.

  • You have proven expertise in rehabilitation, patient-centred care, and delivering high-quality, data-informed services in fast-paced environments.

  • You are highly organised, adaptable and solutions-focused, with a commitment to reflective practice, service improvement and ongoing professional development.
